Haruka Kusakabe
I am a researcher working on galaxy formation and evolution, as well as the cosmic baryon cycle, using observational data primarily from VLT/MUSE, HST, and MeerKAT to study galaxies from the local Universe to high redshift. Since April 2023, I have been a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Division of Science, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (in Masami Ouchi's group). I obtained my PhD from the University of Tokyo in 2019 under the supervision of Kazuhiro Shimasaku. Following that, I worked on the observations of the circumgalactic medium and cosmic reionization with Anne Verhamme at the University of Geneva from 2019 to 2023.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Galaxy formation and evolution, baryon cycle, and the history and sources of cosmic reionization
